CAP UPDATE

The past year has been difficult, with lockdown preventing us from meeting new clients face to face. This has also made it difficult to share the Good News as client visits were done over the phone and although this provided an essential service for new clients, it was not what I was used to, not what I was comfortable with.  It was very hard to build actual relationships over the phone.

Praise God as lockdown restrictions are gradually being lifted, we are now allowed to see clients face to face at the church.  We have had about 6 new clients register over the past month and it’s great to be able to meet them face to face as this enables us to start to building relationships from that very first contact.

It’s great to see that as lockdown is lifting, more and more people who come to the front door of the church are asking about our church services.  We have been able to give them some leaflets with the times and booking system and God willing we will start to see many new faces in our church services.

There are many hurting people on the doorstep of our church. Please pray that they will have the courage to walk through the door and hear about a God who loves them and wants to rescue them!

We continue to send out about 30 hampers every two weeks. If you would like to contribute items for the hampers the food can be left Monday to Friday at Greenisland Presbyterian church side door in the boxes provided or you can bring it along to GBC with you on Sunday and leave it in Dolly the Trolly. We are currently low on toilet rolls/toothpaste/shampoo & tins of meat. If in doubt of what to bring, just bring anything. Bless ya!
